When it was discovered that these new labels tended to bond to the latex gloves, Intermec solved the challenge with a new product based on a “glove-friendly” adhesive. Engineered to tolerate cooltemperatures in laboratory environments and resist adhesion to latex gloves, Intermec’s “glove-friendly” solution allows users forty-five to fifty seconds to apply the label to glass or plastic vessels. This “glove-friendly” label is now a standard in the industry and is used by health professionals in blood testing, AIDS studies and many other laboratory applications.
