The AutoOptimizer Engine™ serves as the cornerstone of the AutoOptimizer architecture, introducing a "no dials" paradigm to the management of WAN optimization and application acceleration systems. AutoOptimizer automatically creates an optimization policy per data flow by selecting an appropriate set of WAN acceleration algorithms from its arsenal. The engine may select from a large number of tools: TCP flow control, long history and link-level compression, service class policies and protocol-specific optimization techniques such as CIFS acceleration. Applied policies are continuously re-evaluated and tuned to ensure optimum WAN performance.
