EtherTool processes the data within a selected Ethereal log file and cleans the file of all spurious data. It can also split an Ethereal log file into smaller files to make processing quicker and easier. The EtherTool utility gives the user many options for processing a log file. The user can choose
- the minimum packet interval at which to delete duplicated packets;
- the point at which EtherTool starts splitting the log file;
- The size of the split log files; and
- the destination folder for the split log files.
