Allows users of applications such as Adobe Photoshop to access content and services provided by Documentum without additional system integration. WebDAV Services makes the Documentum repository transparent to WebDAV applications but without compromising Documentum security, access control, lifecycles, workflows, and other capabilities. With WebDAV-based access, application users can only access content and services that they're authorized to access.
Documentum WebDAV Services are included in the Content Server license and provide an implementation of a WebDAV server for the Documentum repository. The WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) standard has been adopted by many desktop applications, allowing them to access content in any WebDAV-compliant repository including Documentum. |
