Product:  Courseware Series for Autodesk® Revit
Company:  CDV Systems, Inc.
Type:  Software
Description:  The CDV Systems' courseware series for Autodesk Revit are designed with the understanding that the needs and processes of the commercial architect are different from those who primarily work in the residential arena. As such, this series consist of an introductory book that covers the core methods of working in the parametric building model, followed by either an advanced commercial or an advanced residential book that completes the coverage of the software. The series can be used either as self-paced, hands-on instruction or as the basis for an instructor-led, 5-day training curriculum broken down into a 2-day introduction class and a 3-day advanced class. The exercises in each of the books are process-based, enabling the user to start and finish a project in the Revit environment. The advantage of this method is that it allows the user to work not only with specific commands and features of the software, but also to understand the process and methods used to complete a typical project. Equally as important, these exercises include methods of interfacing with AutoCAD® and Microstation®. To give you the most flexibility in working through the project, a CD-ROM is included with each book that contains the project at the starting point for each chapter as well as the ancillary files you will use to complete the project.
