The Roaming Gateway is the cornerstone of the ipUnplugged solution. It aggregates traffic from remote nodes and forwards the traffic to the Roaming Client's current position. The Roaming Gateway contains functionality for handling mobility and security across multiple access forms.
The Roaming Gateway also supports interconnection to a RADIUS compliant server (e.g. the Roaming Server) for the purpose of performing Accounting, Authentication and Authorization. In addition, the Roaming Gateway provides Internet Access Control functionality, enabling users to access Internet services via a web-login page at for example public hotspots, or temporary guest users in a corporate environment.
The Roaming Gateway family consist of two different series. The 300 series is aimed for large enterprises and operator, and the 100 series is aimed for SMB installations.
